- New video offers an insight into the set-up and stages on offer in Lombardy
- Service park host town Varzi overflown to demonstrate the space and spectacle
- Seven stages, 80kms and one incredible occasion from May 24-27
Ignore the snow. When DirtFish’s Colin Clark flew to Varzi to talk Logiman Mythical Cars Rally, winter wasn’t supposed to be part of the picture.
There won’t be any snow on the ground when a selection of rallying’s biggest stars and most famous cars arrive in Lombardy on May 24.
This video offers an insight into the town of Varzi and some of the roads which will be used at Logiman Mythical Cars Rally. It also brings insight from the event’s advisor Andrea Adamo.
Andrea is a man who has rallied his way around the world (twice standing on top of the world as a title-winning team principal of Hyundai), but his heart is here. These are stages he stood alongside as a boy, they’re the stages which fired the passion that set him on the road to global rallying glory.
Sharing those memories is something he relishes.
“It was really good to talk about the event and the plans we have for Logiman Mythical Cars Rally,” said Andrea.
“What we have created here is something more than a new event, it’s a festival of rallying for Group A cars, for Super 1600 cars, for all of the best cars from the 1990s until the end of the World Rally Car time.
“And when the rally cars go quiet, then the service park will light up and provide an extraordinary atmosphere. It was really nice to be able to show Colin some of the roads and into the towns and the cafes which will host us from May 24-27.”
The competitive aspect of the all-asphalt Logiman Mythical Cars Rally is split across two days. The organisers are running an innovative, seven-hour shakedown stage through Friday May 26, with the opening test set for 1948 that evening. Saturday brings six more stages and a total of 78 competitive kilometres.
Open to Group A, including Super 1600, Super 2000, kit cars and World Rally Cars, entries are availablehere.
